First, a word of tribute.

For those of you who have not yet heard,

the absolute legend Gabe Hirshfeld

has just passed away at age 36.

He was one of the best banjo players I've ever heard.

He was also a hell of a guy and an amazing friend.

He had this knack of being present with you

and also insanely hilarious at the same time,

and there was no one like him.
